I met with the senior services coordinator at the local senior center today and spent a couple hours helping her compile a services rendered log, that's been the project lately. I've got years of computer skills, I've been a typist for a long time and I'm more than happy to donate my quick typing to a good cause. Anyway, through the course of our time, we get to discuss all kinds of topics that go on in and around our little community. She recently took a trip to D.C. to attend the Alzheimer's Association conference and meet with fellow advocates, admin and congress people to address the current crisis. This is just one of many blog posts to look forward to!
I've decided to become self employed since attaining my degree - I see a gap in services available in my community, and I am the aging specialist to fill the void. My time right now is consumed with grant finding, website building, interview writing and business creating. Then there's mom'ing my three lil ones! I'm beyond thrilled to be partnering up with my hubs for his multimedia skills and "handing over" the company Twitter and Instagram - I can post as I want but he can do all the groovy technical stuff, let me focus on the people! I can't wait to show you what research I've been doing and what is coming down the pipeline.
For today's family focus, I want to talk about the mystery channel that my kids found with me on YouTube. Look up "Can you solve the mystery" on YouTube and take your pick. We burned through half an hour without blinking it seems, trying to solve the (sometimes gruesome, I'll warn you!) mystery cartoons. I loved watching my kids think critically about situations and laugh at the silly scenarios. It surprised me sometimes, which of them got what mysteries right. I don't think I got any of them though, can I blame being tired!? Anyway...!

I hope you found something that could could use here, until next time, take care!
